The new path is WAYYYY faster. And they have the chains lined up so you enter from there anyway so people coming from Comet's way have to walk towards that path anyway.

I of course haven't been so I don't know this, but when Griffon opened in 2007 at BGE they closed the shortcut pathway that was less known and forced you to walk the main way. Would Hersheypark do that?
