So, scowering KIextreme as I always do, I found someone came across a little announcement from Holiday World.

"What's the New Project for 2010?
Ah, the question on everyone's mind these days: What's new for 2010?
Yes, we will have a new...
thing...for next year. Want to play along with our guessing game? Follow us on Twitter, our Facebook Fan Page, and the HoliBlog.
Our big announcement will be Thursday, August 13, at 11 am CDT. If you're here as a guest that day, you're welcome to join us in the Holiday Theater (sorry, HoliDazzles fans, we'll have
one less show that day).
Park president Will Koch will proudly unveil his latest plan for making everyone smile. He's been working on this for several years and has been talking about it even longer. In fact...it's the second largest ride project in the park's history!"

Interesting turn of events considering they just got Pilgrims Plunge.

Good time to be an enthusiast in August 2009! :)

So we can rule out B&M and most forms of Intamin... since it will be the second largest behind Voyage (8.5 mil). S&S El Loco? Spinning Wild Mouse? Possibly one of Vekoma's new designs?

Second largest could mean more than cost. If its, say, a steel coaster that's bigger than Legand but smaller than Voyage, that's a pretty big gap to where the ride could inhabit. Voyage is 163 ft. tall with over 6000 ft of track and Legand is 113 ft tall with about 4000 ft of track.

None of you have ANY idea how excited I am about this addition...NO IDEA!

I just hope it turns out to be what I've been led to believe, lol. (And yes, for those wondering, INTAMIN is what I've been led to believe...)

I'll hold a spot for you on opening day. ;)

I say its time this park gets something that goes upside down. I'm pulling for a smaller, MCBR-less Floorless. Although I think a Flyer would worlk well with the terrain, for some reason I don't feel HW will go that way.

On the issue of cost, PP just cost them $13 million. I'm sure they're willing to pay that and more if they do add their 5th coaster and its as big as they claim.

13? I thought the press release said $4.5 million...(more than half of the $8.5 million that was spent on the park this year.)

Whoops, my bad, I must have misread something.

I'm still under the belief that cost will have nothing to do with this being the second largest. I'm leaning towards a coaster (wood or steel) that's about between 120-140 ft tall and with a mile of track.

They NEED a good steel coaster. Yes the woodies are great but there is no balance.
