So. My first ride I will show you is a B&M Hypertwister. (More like strata twister because its 460ft tall)
For the terrain texture I used a little known (or at least little used)feature of the terra-former: The texture generator.
I played with it and put totally unrealistic colors in it. I think is looks prety cool. The terrain itself probably isn't too realistic because of certain areas being rather steep.
I know B&M hypertwisters do not have launches but realism isn't what I'm going for.
I finally used prefab supports on this ride. I usually never do because I thought of it as taking a short cut but now i realize they don't look that bad. I have lots of terrain hugging track that would just be pointless to make a 4 foot tall streight custom support so i mite as well use the prefabs. Which I have.
The plan for the two overbanked turns' supports is to build a giant steel truss arch over the water (simmilar to Devin Olson's Extremity).
I've uploaded this track already to the download's extras page as a wooden twister. I just changed the track type and ran the auto support gen. just so I could give a preview of what this track will be.
You can download the preview track here. The name of the track should be STRATAWOODIE (or something along those lines).
I wanted to make a drop over water. The only problem was that the drop was 350 feet up a giant hill. So, i made a 3ds water tile and a 3ds dam to hold the water back.
I've already changed a couple parts of the original track that are different from the preview. For example the hill after the squished hamerhead turn is now two hills with alot more air time and there is a bunny hop rite before the helix. I am trying to make the supports as realistic as possible. (and by realistic i mean assuming what B&M would do if they had a coaster this high) My assumption for the lift hill is that they would do connected towers simmilar to MForce's lift. But anyway....tell me what you think of this ride and if theres any theming ideas or objects that would make it better.

Whoa!

The environment is just too... how do I put this in words... strange?

Can't tell much about the rides though. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

Woah. This is like a junkie's dream. Awesome.

And B&M with scaffolding supports = no-no.

I could very easily change the track type. Since realism isn't at the top of my list, i won't.
The people in download extras haven't gotten around to getting my ride posted yet. It should be up in 2 days at the most though.

EDIT: The downloads extras people/person must be on a month long vacation or something cause my ride still isnt there!!

New progress on My Unnamed B&M Hypertwister with Intamin supports...
I've made a Steel Arch spanning across the water (slime or whatever it will be changed to later). As I had suspected, making curves with a geometric, connect-the-dots, straight line system was not easy. The downloads extras people still haven't gotten around to taking care of my upload. (its been 4 days)

Even though it isn't at all realistic, I really like your tressle-like arch over the pond. It looks cool.

So...here's the POV as of 15 minutes ago.
Recorded with FRAPS
Edited with After Effects
I just now became aware of the weird curve going on directly after the mini drop following the 2nd mid-course brake run as I watched the POV.
It will be changed.
Let me know if there anything else you think I should change or tweak.
The video should be finished processing in about 40 minutes.

Why don't you just use the in-game recorder?

It makes massive files that are annoying to down convert.....its very time consuming at least.
Fraps doesn't make as huge files so the converting goes faster.
The computer was turned off while I was uploading my video to youtube so now I will upload it again and change the embedded video.

Erm....
The first thing I noticed was the pacing. Over some of the elements it came to a crawl while others it kept a nice pace. Everything is way too spaced out, which would be fine and dandy if it maintained 100 all the way through, but it doesn't, which causes a lack of forces. I know you weren't aiming for realism, but that was just a bit farfetched. 3:05... what's that? Like I said, some spots are good but most of your turns are really, really spaced out when they don't need to be.

new progress: ive recolorized the track and added more to the launch tunnel. I've also fixed little flaws in the track and totally redone that hidiously long break run into a bunny hop and sloped breaks.

Holy... My eyes. All that's missing are some purple trees and alien plant life, as well as some futuristic alien structures and a Saturn-like orbiting moon. You're not aiming for realism--then go to the other extreme and WOW us all the way.

I'm really glad I don't have epilepsy or else I would be going into seizures right now.

I've added yet another brilliant looking bridge to this coaster. (it really only took me 5 minutes)
I changed the preexisting truss structure into a cable stayed bridge. ex of bridge:
clicky
So, heres some screens for you:

Ummmm, yeah, that's absolutely sick! I'd never thought of putting a bridge under an NL coaster.

Hey, I was just wondering if I could transfer Nolimits onto a storage device. I will be switching to Windows 7 and I have to back-up all of my files. Is there a way to back-up the Nolimits Simulator/Editor file? I really need to know. Thx.

Get the install file and back that up. Backing up everything from the program files folder probably won't work, because some elements to the simulator may be located in other parts of the computer. You can back up your tracks and scenery, though.

Haha, alright. Back to my rides...
I've added a pentidecic sphere. I really don't know what to call it so I'll just show you the pictures.

Heres a rollercoaster I've pushed aside till now....
I'm probably going to call it Loch Ness Monster or something sea monster related.
Its my first euro fighter ever. The Inversions in order are: Cobra Roll, Heartline Roll, Dive Loop, Incline Loop, Corkscrew, Dive loop.
Heres the pics:

I actually really like this one. And I don't feel like its too unrealistic. I particularly like the supports on the Cobra Roll. Its very different but I think it would actually work.
