This fits perfectly into Hersheypark's lineup and while I'm not a huge fan of it being built in such a small location on top of everything else it looks like a good addition. Hopefully it will be an airtime machine and the new trains offer some diversity from your typical Intamin Hyper/Mega Coaster and semi-confirm the wing rider speculation.

It looks like I305's OTSR: http://rcdb.com/4520.htm?p=33470
Where do you see that it looks like that? I honestly can't tell what it looks like though the two Mega-Lites that have been built use just lap bars so my thought would be that this would too though Intimidator 305's lap bars/shoulder straps are also a possibility.

Overall, i'm impressed with the whole concept and plan. To me, this is the type of coaster Hershey needed to round out it's line-up.
I luv the many water fly-bys, and can only imagine it's interaction with the other close by coasters will be up to the parks other offerings.
I looks like Intamin is taking a big page from it's #1 competitor B&M with these new trains, the outside seats should provide an excellent ride experience, again, just like B&M's newest Hyper V-train.
If it's only a lap-bar, than i would presume some type of modification would be in the works that would "wrap" around your mid-section a lil' more snuggly than your basic lap-bar...just a thought, perhaps like...naw, forget that thought.
Looks great overall, and quite a bit different than a "mini" I305 that most everyone was bantering on about. Very unique in and of itself, i would say.

Hersheypark, which is well known for blending the past with both the present and the future as it offers guests a one-of-a-kind experience, is reclaiming about three acres of land that have been closed to the public since 1972. The land is the site of the Park’s former “Sunken Gardens,” a popular place for early visitors to Hershey to take a stroll. The area is now being transformed not only by the new coaster, but also by a renovation that will result in the creation of a scenic observation path that’s lined by globe streetlights, fencing, trees, landscaping and flowers. The area will allow guests to reflect on the Park’s history while watching riders on a state-of-the-art mega coaster.
The coaster’s station house is being modeled after historic train stations in the Hershey area. New restroom facilities, games and food stands will replicate the Park’s buildings of yesteryear, and a new floating fountain in Spring Creek will bring back memories of days gone by.

Just came back from the announcement. 298 days wait time, can't wait!
Thanks for going for us. It was a lot shorter than I expected...I should have guessed that it would have been 12 minutes long.

Will Hershey be refilling the creek once construction is done?
Yes, according to their permits they are required to have the creek area completely restored by May 1st, 2012.

Personally, I'd love to see lapbars on SkyRush, it seems to be nice and smooth with some good airtime hills...perfect enough for a lapbar. The only question is, would they split it up. Lapbars in the center seats and OSTR's on the outers? Or would they all either be lapbars or OSTRs?
Oh...I'd say a trip out to Hershey is on tap for me too next year

From Keystone Thrills. I305 Style, but wider to compensate for wider cars.
