@ Daniel. It's supposed to be an exposition/demonstration. The guy up on stage is supposedly making a speech. (He is actually going to be the narrator for part of the novella I am writing). Being a bit of a perfectionist, I usually go through my writing several times to make sure it's smooth before I post.

By the way, this was what I got my inspiration from.

It's time to finally let this thread live up to it's subtitled name. Work in progress.

I guess I'm "new" to this thread since I haven't looked at most ongoing projects in forever, and was just wondering what this is all for. Everything looks really cool and you do a great job of making cities in RCT, a game that wasn't even intended to be used in this way. It's really great stuff what you've done

I love you guys! (I know, I'm being such an attention whore!)

Nevertheless, let's update this baby with some new material.

Now, for some bigger stuff. City of Xinan, specifically, the commuter train station. Let's slow down a bit from 300 km/h to a bit more... realistic speed. Posted Image

I concur...that station is AMAZING. I was looking for an "eye-popping" emoticon (but we don't have one). biZarRo, I think if you download this, it would crash your computer....I think he's already killed 2 or 3 working on this project or other similar ones. They can't handle the awesomeness of Silver's projects ;) (Don't worry, I'm not worshiping you, Weifan).

Keep going. We'll be here to encourage you through, even when it gets hard, and I know God can use your gifts in great ways if you let him.

Sorry Biz, I won't be uploading this. It's not that it's too awesome for computers to handle, it's that the trains that TycoonCoaster made for me, specifically the full-length 700T trains and the EMU-400 commuter, are still in the beta stage and are unreleased. You can't open a park if all the CTRs aren't installed.

I'm also going to stall work on Xinan for awhile, for several reasons. First of all, my finals are coming up, and I need to catch up on schoolwork a bit. Second of all, as Xinan was built for the story that I'm writing, to finish the whole thing immediately is silly and inefficient. I have enough of Xinan built to show, and after the hacking incident at SGW clears up, I'll be posting Chapter 2. Third, I'm starting to run up against the file size limit for Windows 7. RCT3 running on 7 cannot support parks larger than a size of 12-15 MB: which means even though there technically isn't a lot on-screen, the game can still chicken out if the park file gets too big. Currently, I'm standing at 10.3 MB, and I don't feel like pushing it.

I think I'm a bit late on the news, but just so everyone knows, China recently suffered a tragic rear-on high speed train collision. The first train had lost power due to lightning strikes over a 20-meter high viaduct when a second train rear-ended it. Several cars fell off the bridge and landed in the field nearby. Reports say 39 people were killed, with more than a hundred injured.
I really don't feel like commenting on the political issues related to this, or even the technical stuff as to why the ATC system didn't stop the second train, or even the miracle of finding a two-year old girl alive in the wreckage after rescue attempts were called off, but I feel that paying some respects to the victims is necessary before I post RCT work related to such tragedy. All I can say is that for a total train population of 1019 people, 39 is a relatively lucky figure.

The following pictures are the newly made CRH2 and CRH3 trains made by TycoonCoaster.

I don't know if I should be posting again so quickly, but then again, the comments started popping like popcorn before I finished editing... so whatever.

BIG UPDATE. I did some remodeling for Xindi Milepost 01 because I thought the in-game terrain walls looked hideous. I retook a lot of shots.

WOW!!! First image looks so much like real life...the foliage and ground cover is just perfect. All the other images are good too, some of them look much more like "video game images" though (which I know they are). There's just something extra-special about that first one for me.

I really like the CRH2 as well, again, the first couple shots are the best. Not too keen on the control panel (as it's pretty much missing everything). I'm sure that detail will come.

I'm guessing that the lights are wrong, maybe the wrong color...they look kind of purple-ish....that doesn't seem right. However, most of your puzzles are much more complicated than that.

Thank you, but no, that's not what's wrong. It is something wrong with the train, though.

No.

Biz, it's something wrong with the train. :) There's something wrong with the train and the track, specifically.

And for your information, that's not giga-track: it's custom scenery from a set called Klinn's Frameworks.

Staff has been seriously busy with ride announcements the past few days. (I've been a bit of a slave driver....okay, not really, but they are working REALLY hard). Everyone's focus is on park announcements right now, but life will come back to the comments here soon!

You're dedication to your work and to this site doesn't go unnoticed, and we thank you for deciding to make this your "base of operations."
