Two blonds are driving down I 95 to Kings Dominian. They see a sign that says "Kings Dominain Left". So they turned around and went home.

I beleive it is possable to top the rides at Cedar Point but not feesable. Maveric is absolutly wicked and even though it's far from my favorite everyone loves MF. I have a feeling they could top it with the terrain they have to use and the fact that the themeing will be so much better but it is probably just for publicity.
Don't doubt Dollywood. It is VERY *feasible* to do. Mystery Mine is pretty "wicked" too. Given they haven't installed a new coaster since 2007, I believe this one will be pretty legit.
And tell us why it's not feasible?

Most likely this person had a one on one discussion with her supervisor about what was going in next year, but i certainly suggested it could have been bigger than that, that indeed it might carry through an actual park meeting about how to handle the construction questions that would inevitabily arise from the curious of mind (duh, like me).
For those who know exactly where i'm talking, and know where this ride/coaster is starting from, you'd understand why Dollywood has said it'll only be 11ft high or off the ground. Being started at the highest point in the park, on a ridge, basically and then winding down the hill to finish will make this atraction very unique in itself alone.
I don't put much creed in the Cedar Point comparison, but, i did find it very interesting that CP would be used as a point of reference on just how "major" leagues this ride is being touted to be...very interesting, even if it's only one employee's opinion.
So at this time, any thoughts are feasible, legit, and yes, even perhaps to rival the "quality" and specialness of any ride at CP, the potential is there. Obviously they aren't going to build a Giga, TTD, or ??? to compare to CP, but that doesn't mean this new attraction won't be a "superior" ride in some big way
...at least i hope so
For those not familar with Dollywood or who haven't taken the time to visit Screamscape, here are a couple recent pics from there

It covers a couple of pages, but the long and short of it is that someone spied and tracked down a trailer of B&M track on the road and cornered the driver (at a rest stop?) and was told they were heading for Dollywood, in Tennessee.
Now some say this track is heading to Parc Asterix as part of it's new B&M Invert, as it is also blue in color. But it does look darker, and does go along with some of the hints out there about this coaster having some relation to the sky...idk.
Of course, the announced 11' height to any coaster still hasn't been reconciled or modified, so the doubts about all this are massive.
Most think if this indeed is a new groundhugging B&M going in Dollywood that it is #3, a Flyer, #2, an Invert, or, as part of it's announced "first ever here" type coaster, #1, a Wingwalker
Again, this could all be a fabricated deal and indeed that track is heading for Europe or parts unknown...but...
what if...?

I don't mean that in a negative way, it's just that it seems so "outta the box" for them. Again, that's just my perception of a B&M in Dollywood, is all.
So what shall it be? I do think if it's indeed a "first", it's probably gotta be a Wingwalker model. Although a ground hugging Invert might also be a "first" depending on just how fine you want to define and interpet "first".
Also glad Dollywood is getting somewhat out of it's total "earthtone" brown theme of it's big three coasters (ok, one's wood, so whatdoya expect?) with this blue track and tan supports. I kinda think a Cheetah Hunt kinda color scheme woulda looked great coming down that hill, but this should look sweet too.
Can't wait to see what B&M and Dollywood can do together...or do i have to wait for pics and an "official" word? Guess i better before i overreact too much. (too late?)

EDIT: Yeah Dollywood seems to be on the hunt. I'm not posting pics until I know it's clear. If the 11' Height is false, I'd say for it to be a first it would have to be a wing rider. A Nemesis/AIR style ride would be more plausible if it was a 11' height. I really hope it's a wing rider.
EDIT 2: I'm 95% this is a Wing Rider. Judging by track pieces and comparing to flying/invert track...they match Raptors.

Haha well thanks for posting it here. Yeah, that "WI-" definitely means its a Wing Rider. On one of Diamondback's track pieces the seal read "HC-" in the same place, obviously standing for "Hyper Coaster."Can't take credit. Been creepin thrill network. That pic came from Screamscape though.
I'm definitely curious about what the final product will turn out to be for this ride, especially with all of the confusion over the supposed 11ft height stat

So it was a misprint. Well that's good because the "The Sky is Not the Limit" obviously makes it sound like it will be a tall ride. And Dollywood's other steel coasters are definitely on the shorter side as far as coasters go.From what I've read that was a misprint. A local news station correct it and said 110'. I just hope if it is a wingrider it's not as short as Raptor. Dolly's Steelie's are both fairly short rides. With Mystery Mine at 1811' long and 2:30, and Tornado at 2682' and a 1:48, neither are as long as a lot of steel coasters. Granted I am comparing to Alpengeist and other B&M's...I'm terrible at comparing.
So I guess now that we [or at least I think we have] have figured out the coaster type, I wonder what the theme will be. We have the whole sky deal, and the wing rider concept makes me think of a bird so think it'd be cool if they went with an Eagle theme

I've seen that "correction", but as far as i can tell it hasn't been confirmed by anyone official and probably won't until the grand announcement down the road...but yeah, one has to assume 11' and a B&M coaster of any model isn't going to jive.
And yeah, both MM & TT are on the short side, but you certainly don't notice it on MM, it's so interesting and everchanging in layout and flow that it works out to a perfect length experience. TT on the other hand does seem short in duration, in fact, it was the first words out of my daughter's mouth instead of accolades about the ride. I agree somewhat as some helixes and time through the woods woulda spaced the three inversions out better...but it is what it is, a very enjoyable Custom Arrow Looper.
Yeah, do recall they are big on the eagles. If I remember correctly they shelter some in Craftsman Valley.
Actually, they have all types of Raptors and Buteos there (Eagles, Hawks, Falcons, etc.) but your point is accurate, and i think you may be onto something with it. With the "Sky is Not the Limit" and the probablity of a Wingwalker being the model type, that themeing would fit fine flying down the hill there.
One thing to remember, this coaster is starting off at the very highest point in the park, so even a 110' max height is going to tower above everything else. And then if it follows the terrain downhill and "hugs" the hillside, so to speak, you'll have plenty of speed and thrill i would say.
Couple other of hints that are out there are a "first ever element", is that correct? If so, and this is a Wingwalker, would B&M be installing those rotating seats they've been suppossedly working on on this coaster? That would be a first, here anyways. Just a thought so don't take it for more than the KooK's musings.
Another themeing thought, and i read this on TPR, so it's not mine, how about a theme to honor our military, particularily the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds (Air Force, Navy, etc.), that certainly sounds like a "core" value type thing Dollywood would do...and again, it would fit in very well with ground-hugging manuvers that a coaster like this will probably do...don't cha think?
Those are my thoughts at this juncture, and yes, bring on the pics please

Tasty track. There's a rumor swirling thrill network that the coaster's name will be Wild Eagle. An employee saw that on a team lead report. I'm hoping that's just a project name and not the official name for it. Seem's dull. However, I have complained about names a lot lately.
I like it. It's not the most exciting name in the world but I'd be perfectly happy with it. It's not anywhere near as bad as "Cheetah Hunt" (I will never be able to get over that name)

I'm tempted to write on their Facebook, "What's all the excavating for? It doesn't have anything to do with all that B&M Wingrider Track y'all are bringing in does it?"
