I honestly think the layout is really short, but I love that first drop. The theming looks really good especially for that plane and station. I really think that Thorpe needs another fabulous B&M, and that's what they're getting.

Can't wait to see more!

Well, I must say that the renderings look fantastic. I'm particularly intrigued with that hang-and-dive first drop/inversion. I'm rather curious what's up with the layout between the 3rd inversion and the final turnaround however as it looks like a super long piece of straight track to me. Perhaps its a really stretched out inline roll but it doesn't look like there's any rotation on the track there.

I thought it looks like an inline roll there...if you look closely, you can see it, but its a tad difficult because of rest of track popping up before it.

Anyway, I think it looks fantastic. The themeing looks amazing, and the entire ride itself looks brilliant. I dig how well the rendering were done as well. I totally agree with you, Joey, that Busch will get one, even if it's not next. It just seem right up their alley. :P

First off, thanks Joey for starting this thread about a new, upcoming ride that's basically in your "neighborhood".

We need that here, props to you.

Perhaps i'm a bit dense, but it's my opinion that the layout, while somewhat compact, seems to have enough room to let the trains "run" the course in a fulfilling way.

Also, while Raptor may have a bit more "hang" time built into it's first drop (and last inversion), I don't think this drop will be horrible in that way by any means...I rather like what their doing with this coaster.

As far as one or both of the "new" Merlin Busch parks potentially getting a Wing Rider...I'm not so sure. I'd agree wholeheartedly if it was the old A-B B&M friendly ownership, but not now...at least not so much, for sure.

Also, as we've discussed multiple times earlier here, BGT, like they ended up doing with Cheetah Hunt, has to "overrun" already developed areas to fit in a decent sized footprint coaster. I think they could still fit one in near Gwazi, running North(?), but, i'm not dogmatic on knowing that to be true. (Ryan, what'cha think?)

Obviously, BGW has more undeveloped room, and the terrain would make for a "lovely" layout for one of these beasts all themed up the wa-zoo...I'd luv to see it happen down the road some.

But will B&M be allowed back in the house anytime soon? I just don't know...

I'm pretty sure that Thorpe Park is a Merlin owned property.

Anyway, as for BGA having room for one of these, it would have to be a smaller compact model, which would mean less, thrilling, and honestly I don't see BGA really needing one of these with their current selection of rides. BGE on the other hand could benefit from one, and has expansion room if they want it. Maybe the proposed new country.

Yep, I'm well aware of that fact. What I was saying was in the narrow focus and confines of B&M's in a Busch Gardens park, which is obviously not the direction the Merlin/Blackstone ownership is currently going in. I mean, they each have three superior B&M's already, and Intamin, Mack, and ??, are what the USA's parks are getting at this time.

That's the "house" I was refering too.

Those are basically my thoughts and confirmation of what I was getting at in my last post.

Merlin don't own Seaworld Adventure Parks. Blackstone owns Merlin and Seaworld Adventure Parks. That's not the same.

Many parks have been investing in smaller and cheaper coasters simply because you can get more for your money. I think Merlin have splashed out of recent because they have been so rapidly expending and come into a lot of cash. The opposite is true of Seaworld Adventure Parks.

They're calling the drop an "inverted drop."
Dear B&M,
I love you.

I'm stoked for that first drop. Its a concept I've been in love with since I first imagined it and put it on a RTC3 track of mine way back in the day, kind of a revamping of Drachen Fire's wraparound corkscrew idea.

The whole ride looks awesome though it does seem really short. The theming looks great and I love how it's on its own separate "island" from the park. The inverted drop should provided some excellent hang time.

Could it potentially be a thematic element? i.e. its there on purpose?

It may be, but that is an expensive thematic element if it's real.

If it's not, a crane operator just joined the unemployment line in Britain.

Yea, generally thematics are cheaper recreations of the real thing...not the real thing themselves lol Like, "oh, let's buy some extra pieces of expensive B&M track to put in the water as part of thematics!"

FREAKING B&M TWIST AND DIVE!!!!!

Apologies for the above internet noobishness, but its rare that I get so excited over something as simple as a construction picture posted of some ride going up overseas. The reason for me enthusiasm however is that, for one, I've thought that an inversion was a great way to start out a coaster ever since Drache Fire did. And for two, there's this coaster called X-Flight coming to my home park next year which will feature the exact same element!

Man this is exciting to watch.

^Not showing it unfortunately but I'm glad they are progressing. All the construction seems to be going smoothly and on schedule with all the Wing Riders, though X-Flight is a bit delayed but even that is now seeing progress. I must say, I bet the inclined loop is really neat with those trains.
