After 59 years of operation, the Sahara Hotel, along with the Nascar Cafe & its main attraction, Speed - The Ride have closed their doors forever!
Here's a tribute to Speed's erection to its early days!

Skyrush, Flying Turns (hopefully), Verbolten, Stinger,Goliath, Apocalypse, X-Flight, Leviathan, Superman

Ultimate Flight, The Swarm, Wild Eagle, whaever Parc Astérix and Europa Park are naming their coasters...

Such a shame. Looked like the best coaster in Vegas to me.

Well according to Screamscape, Speed isn't leaving just yet. While everything on the site will be liquidated, the ride is to remain there and is not for sale. There is also a possibility that the ride has already been sold: "There have been some rumblings that a few players were interested in the ride… including Six Flags."
