Allegedly park staff are saying that IW is going to the scrapyard; corporate has deemed it to be un-salvageable.

How can a ride that's currently operating be un-salvageable?

It isn't in horrible shape but because of how unenjoyable the ride experience is, it isn't worth saving. It's older but the maintainence hasn't been super throughout the years on it. It just isn't worth keeping or giving for that matter.

I'm not buying the whole "Iron Wolf is going to be scrapped" spiel. Especially after Screamscape has posted this permit, filed by none other than Six Flags America:

If it isn't scrapped it's almost guaranteed to go to SFA. I suppose it's better than them getting nothing but I hope the park gets more than just that. Even if it's a flat to go along with it would be nice.

So I know everyone's been burning to find out what's coming to Six Flags America next year... Well if you can stand to wait just a little bit longer, I'll be posting some hints within the next hour!!!

Posted Image

Game on.

EDIT:

Heres the pic they posted.

Someone said it will be Iron Wolf. The park replied, "I will tell you this - when we announce what IS new for 2012... the answer will not be Iron Wolf. Jus' Sayin! ;-)"

So...just renamed iron wolf.

Well if you can stand to wait

That hint totally gave it away there too. "STAND to wait". I'm pretty sure it will be Wolf. If it is, could you see new trains going on the ride?

I would hope new trains, fresh paint, total makeover. This thing needs to be buttery smooth. Or SFA is going to take a lot of crap for Corporate Six Flags not giving them something that compares to nearby favorites. Intimidator, Skyrush, Verbolten will be riden some and maybe compared to New IW.

Does anyone else feel this way? I may be being overdramatic. But I'm flustered.

Honestly, even if it isn't a shiny new giga coaster, SFA needs to just be happy they're getting any coaster. I put this in the beggars can't be choosers category. The folks down there have been wining for a new coaster for years. Now when they finally get one, they're all complaining that they wanted something better.

As for the clue, what I see so far is Standing Orders Confirmed, Project (20)12, And I think the skull just means its replacing Skull Mountain.

Glad to see Iron Wolf not being scrapped. I'm all for saving B&M's even if they get dogged on the time. I don't mind it's headed to SFA, and I'd be glad no matter what they got. They just needed something, anything so desperately. I agree with Ryan's thoughts pretty much including the thoughts on the clue.

2013 Agenda: Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Dollywood, Dollywood's Splash Country, and Carowinds.

So that's definitely a stand-up. If that picture is of Wolf though that image of the loop is backwards.

^Is it the front or back of the train? Depending on where to photo was taken it could be facing the right way.

^If you're referring to the possible restraints pictured, Six Flags probably used a shot from one of the other 3 they own.

More will be revealed later today but something caught my curiosity. SFA on their FB page said...

Looks like the HOT contents are starting to burn away the envelope...

Makes me wonder if this has something to do with the theme. The skull and heat lead me to maybe something nuclear? I guess it very well could be apocalypse themed.

Uh..did anyone else catch the pictures on Facebook showing the envelope being burned? Something of significance or are the people at SFA just saying 'screw it'?

Well every comment was pretty much something along the lines of "Iron Wolf will be renamed" or "Yay we're getting a 20 year old coaster!"

They must have gotten mad.

This may have been part of their plot. Though the comments were awful since no one really guessed anything but IW. This hints to maybe fire effects being added?

Added fire effects does sounds like a super solid bet on a revamped SF coaster.

It's funny to me that seemingly about 90-some percent of everyone who's seeing these clues knows (or at least suspects) Iron Wolf is coming to SFA. At what point does it no longer make sense to keep everyone in false suspense and just announce the :censored: thing?

Edit: good heavens, we're censoring the D word now?
