Darien Lake is going to add 3 New Family Rides for 2012. Nothing has been confirmed yet as to what they are.

My Ideas:
Drop Tower
Mego -Disco
"Windseeker Style Ride"

Its also possable that some Flat Rides may be on there way out.

According to Darien Lake's FB Page, they will announce the new rides in March 2012. Why would they wait so long?

So the new rides--and the park's name through their marketing--can be fresh in potential visitors' minds come opening day.

The only flat rides they removed for last year's new family rides were Scrambler and BMX Motocross (kiddie ride that was moved to Elitch Gardens). Both rides were remove for Moose on the Loose, a guided track ride themed around moose invading a campground. The other two rides were Hornet's Nest (Flying Scooters) and Heave Ho a kiddie drop tower where riders pull themselves up and slowly drop down.

For this year,Raging Seas was removed for Blast Off! (S&S Space Shot tower relocated from Alabama Adventure) and UFO is going under a major refurbishment, so it currently in limbo of either returning next season or being scrapped.
