You think we will see any new rides at any six flags parks in the near future that we haven't seen before? And could we see another Six Flags park built in the U.S anytime soon say like Orlando or Miami because Miami has no really large theme park..even Memphis or Nashville in Tennessee. Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora.Ohio succeeded for a couple of years and why did they close down this park? It was beginning to become a popular six flags park..then it changed to a cedar fair park then everything got torn down. In my mind lots of residents in cleveland wish they had that park back..just like why did they tear down Astroworld in Houston was Six Flags Astroworld just not that good or was it because of the bad economy? What I'm saying is that will we see some new rides and newer six flags parks in the near future being built? Yes can a six flags work in a different state that could use a really good theme park??? Indianapolis? Columbus? Nashville/Memphis? New Orleans? Miami? Orlando- really doesn't have a park for extreme thrill seekers..unless the Orlando thrill park is still slated to open for 2013..I doubt it.

I guess I'll try to dissect your post of questions...

1. What exactly do you mean stuff we've never seen before? Innovative things are always being developed in this industry.

2. As I said in another thread you started, the current economy doesn't support new parks anywhere at the moment unless your name is Disney or Universal Studios. How about reading your other threads before posting stuff already answered.

3. Six Flags Ohio was sold to Cedar Fair and re-named Geauga Lake. The park closed because of dwindling attendance and it's location too close to Cedar Point. Cedar Fair thought it'd be better off as a pure water park. It was never meant to be a major thrill park like Cedar Point, which is what Six Flags built it to be, and thus it flopped. It would have failed just as hard if it was still under Six Flags care.

4. Are you not aware of the Six Flags additions for this year? They are REALLY coming out of the box in newer ride designs. Six Flags Great America is coming out with one of the first B&M wing riders in production, Magic Mountain is taking something proven and super-sizing it in the 415 ft drop tower aside of Superman, Discovery Kingdom has one of the most insane looking launch coasters ever thought up, Over Georgia had the new Eurofighter car design, Over Texas had the Giant rehab that's proven to be a blockbuster.

5. As for the locations you mentioned- Columbus is smack dab between Kings Island and Cedar Point, Indy has Holiday World and Indiana Beach (and KI to an extent), Nashville and Memphis have Dollywood and SFoG, and a developer would be absolutely insane to build in New Orleans after Katrina (see SFNO).

Orlando? Are you kidding me? No thrills? Miss out on Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Sea World and Disney much? And you want a new park to compete with that? Good luck.

BTW, Orlando Thrill Park tanked.

Not to mention that the other half of the park that Six Flags bought was a SeaWorld... With no rides.

Even though they are not going to be all new rides, it has been confirmed that both Mr. Freeze at SFOT and SFSTL will be "Reverse Blast" with their trains turned around.

[ Do we dare think that CW, KD, KI, SFA, or SFFT could be changing any of their LIM's by Premier ? ]

I can't imagine a Premier Spaghetti Bowl being safe taken in reverse. Too many fast transitions and abrupt direction changes. I don't think that'll ever happen. Now I would be interested in the possibility of some standard Intamin Inverted Impulse coasters reversing their trains. Looking straight up and the vertical spike and straight down the spiral. Also, the first launch being backwards. I think that could be intriguing.

I think that would make about as much difference as reversing the train on a boomerang.

I understand its an incredibly similar ride experience. The two distinct differences are the initial launch being in reverse, and which direction (up/down) you are facing on which spike, since most of these rides only have one twisted spike.
