First off, I want to thank everyone for hanging with us through this transition period and for everyone who has given us the input necessary to make the decisions that we are about to announced.
After lots of input from members of all levels from the site, we've decided to make two immediate changes to the site in keeping with our mission statement and in the interest of providing the best experience for all of our members. The major issue at hand is that the members felt the rules were too hard to understand, too complex, and different in different situations, making it hard for people to know what rules applied in what situation.
We listened to you and came to the conclusion that the only way to simplify the Code of Conduct was to remove the Mature Topics forum. We discussed this course of action among all levels of leadership and amongst our trusted advisers and veteran members, and everyone we talked to was in agreement that this was the best course of action for the site. This has allowed us to make the rules a lot simpler and easier to understand. Please take a look at and familiarize yourself with the updated rules.
One final area that will be affected is that we have decided to archive our Special Listings section, and no longer provide updates to it. We are looking into possible alternatives. We are continuing to work on our Downloads area to get all areas finished, and we hope to have the Comments features available in all areas before the end of the year.
Thanks for hanging in there as we make this transition, and for all of you who have expressed your support for Matt and I. We look forward to working together to serve you.
