So we have a college football thread, and now here's the NFL thread.

The Bengals have come off a surprising season. After losing so many players last year, many figured us (including myself) to have maybe 1-2 wins. Well, we got into the playoffs, though we did lose the first game. I think we'll have another season where we might back into the playoffs like last year. Our schedule is significantly tougher than last year.

So yeah, that middle part of our schedule starting in November is quite daunting, at least for us. I am glad we get the chance to destroy Carson Palmer in Cincinnati though.

Not much for Jaguar fans to look forward to this year. When your biggest offensive weapons aren't even in camp (MJD and Blackmon), when your Franchise Tag player is a kicker, when your 4th rd draft pick is a punter, and when your quarterback thinks a haircut will improve a performance that was worse than every quarterback in the league except Mr. Tebow, its gonna be a rough year.

As a Redskins fan, I have a lot to look forward to this year. Not expecting a Super Bowl berth (I'm realistic), but at least a fighting chance to make the playoffs would be nice. Lets go RGIII...

Speaking of Mr Tebow, the Bengals get to have their way with him on their first preseason game tonight against the Jets.

EDIT: Yep, Tebow was meh. Plus we picked him off. Bengals win 17-6 final.

A lot to expect from Andrew Luck to lead the Colts back to greatness. I will say I was beyond surprised with his performance in his week 1 preseason game!

Now lets see how he fares against a real defense with Pittsburg in week 2 of the preseason.


In other news that Jags are 2-0 with victories over defending Superbowl champs the Giants, and the New Orleans Saints. I know its preseason, but for Jacksonville, this is a bonafide winning streak!

Speaking of NFL, does anyone have any interest in getting a fantasy league going? I have yet to join one this year; it would be the first in probably a decade or more, and I'd kind of like to not break tradition.

^I was talking to Tyler about that earlier, and he's okay with doing that if we have enough interest. Last time we tired, we didn't enough people sign up.

I'd totally be game for a fantasy league! I'll bet if we posted the invite to our FB and the Coaster Consortium FB that we'd get enough for a league. Definitely start it on the forums first though.

Its fine. You can set your own custom draft order and it will auto-draft for you if you're not there.

3 to go. Draft is Monday (which I just realized I won't be able to make as I'll be at Busch Gardens Williamsburg). Might want to think about postponing the draft date (so we're sure to fill all the spots, not because I can't make the current one ).

Should we start a thread specifically for the fantasy league? Maybe that will generate more interest.

You can set up your draft order ahead of time, and the system will auto-draft for you.

There is also a draft app, if anyone can't make the draft. You can just make your picks on the go.

Mine isn't custom, it's just whatever was on NFl.com but to change your avatar or upload a custom one go to Fantasy tab > My Team tab > Edit Settings

Go Lions. Should be a good year for them, but their division is going to be tough with the Packers and Bears.

I'm kind of regretting not joining the fantasy league, but I'm already in one with some guys from school and I don't think I have the time to manage two teams. Anywho, my team looks like this:

A little heavy on the QB's, but I got them for a steal in the auction draft so I'm hoping that I can use one of them as trade bait later on since I'm going to have lots of shuffling to do when bye weeks pop up.
