Well the brakes on the first drop were not painted orange. In fairness none of them were but that could just mean they require a slightly different setup with the new trains. A trim less first drop would he most appreciated

Nah they always hit on the first drop. I've heard them pretty much every time I've been around the ride

I would think it would stay there. It's more of a hassle to take it off then to just leave it and not use it. Talon never uses its trim but its still there and disconnected.

Hopefully the lighter trains translate to no trims which hopefully means a bit more speed but we will see.

I've heard the opposite, especially recently, but I could of course be wrong.

I also saw initially it was not painted, but it apparently is now so I'm not sure.  My guess is that they would leave it and hopefully just disconnect it.

I can tell you all my rides this weekend hit the brakes and my ride in august did as well.  I can say that this weekend's hit felt smaller but I rode toward the front of the train each time so they hit after I would have passed.  I can also say that just walking by and listening I cannot recall a time where they were off.  Thats just all my observation and Im really not in park enough or pay that close of attention enough to make a definitive statement but Id lean to saying theyve been on most of the time.

I always rode towards the front. So that's probably why I never feel it.

Fascinating. Just one more little detail you never really think about, but someone's gotta do it.

So the Good Time Theatre is going to be taken down this offseason.  Let me say wow....I did not see this coming at all.  Add to this the the dorms are also rumored to be leaving soon as well.  This opens up a huge tract of land that has endless possibilities.

I am very shocked that the park has decided to get rid of the Good Time Theater.  I understand that in a park the size of Cedar Point, that land is priceless, however this really takes out a chunk of the entertainment for the park.  The midway for Luminosity is in the same area so this may have been a reason why since the popular night time show was enough entertainment in the area.  This does open up a lot of space and we know that the park has said there will be something BIG coming in the near future.  Excited to see the next few years at the Rockin Roller Coast.

My thing with this is Cedar Point is dwindling down the number of things to do indoors.  They ought to have something for guests to do so they can get out of the heat, but still enjoy themselves.  Another indoor venue, dark ride, something.

Rob Decker was spending a lot of time at the Triotech booth at IAAPA, so I wouldn't be surprised if a dark ride is on the horizon. I like Andy's idea of a Disaster Transport themed dark ride.

I too think that would be a great idea.

They have to be pushing for some kind of indoor attraction soon.  With CW and Knott's adding Triotech dark rides, you have to think one is in Cedar Point's near future.

I do have one minor complaint regarding Rougarou.  The orange track clashes horribly with Iron Dragon's faded yellow supports.  If those supports were bright yellow or their old white it would look just fine.
