Hopefully they do something new and amazing for the Mountain. SF really needs to keep there new attemps and quality and theming and improve on it. Hopefully this will set a new level for GCI most of there coasters are low capacity Magic Mountain needs around 1100pph abouts to really make this worth wild, the usual 850 abouts won't cut it..

Most GCIs have low capacitys because they are smaller rides that lack a MCBB. It wouldn't suprise me though if SFMM wants to go big time with this woody and possible have one with a block break so that they can run an extra train.

I don't think it'd have a MCBR. Something has to be big and long to have one, and they don't have the space for something big and long. Maybe they can do something kinda like Mean Streak or Voyage where you hit the brakes, then do a little drop and hit more brakes?

^Yikes! hope that goes well for you. We went to Fright Fest last year on it's last weekend and it was a nightmare. Not in a good Fright Fest kind of way.

Most crowded I have ever seen the park.

^Wow, I feel the love, but how can they afford all this?

Closer to home, Shapiro said Six Flags Magic Mountain will be getting another roller coaster in 2010 and a Wiggles World kiddie land sometime after that. Shapiro also said that if Terminator Salvation: The Ride proves popular at Magic Mountain when it opens in May 2009, the wooden coaster would wind up at another Six Flags park in 2010.

I wonder if we are getting a smaller scale coaster

such as: Wild Mouse (Spinning Mouse), Spinning (Tony Hawk) Euro Fighter (Launched)

Wow, I can't believe this! How are they even doing all this? It sounds a little...weird, but...oh well!!! A new coaster @ SFMM after X2 for 08' and Terminator for 09'! I bet it'll be in Flashback's spot. It could be a lot of things...a wild mouse (which I would HATE to see, could be Wild Adventure's though) a spinning coaster, maybe an El Loco, pretty much anything compact.

Oh, and I don't really like the idea of putting another Terminator somewhere else.

^If GCI is making the next Terminator coaster chances are the layout will not be the same as SFMMs.

I remember at last years IAAPA convention Mark Shapiro was spending at lot of time at Gerstlauer's both taking interest in a compact launched Euro Fighter. I don't know how a coaster of such small capacity will do at SFMM, but ride the experience is some what new to SFMM.

Launched Euro-Fighters are pretty compact, but I wouldn't say as compact as Flashback's spot. That spot is pretty tiny, and I don't think the most compact launched euro-Fighter ever, could fit in there. And if Mark Shapiro was interested in Gerstlauer, then I could definitely see a spinning coaster go right there. But pretty much anything that goes in that spot, will have small capacity (spinner, euro-fighter, el loco).

And, no matter what coaster goes in this spot, I'm just glad one is going right here. The park needs some attention right there. Pretty much everyone that enters the park, goes to the left side and runs to X2/Tatsu or goes on revolution for the first ride (since it's the closest coaster) plus, the way the park entrance is, you're kind of already going to the left. Well, now with this new coaster here, people will come over, and do the right side of the park. Seriously, there is nothing over here, that you need to do right when the park opens, or even at all during the day, unless you go back further to Goliath.

What makes you so sure that the next coaster will go in that spot? If anything, I think would try to keep all the kid stuff in the same general area. Maybe building Wiggles World in the location flashback once stood and making that section accessable from Bugs Bunny World.

Because there isn't much space for a coaster anywhere else in the park. Unless they remove ANOTHER coaster and put the new one there, there really isn't any space except for Flashback's spot. And, Flashback isn't connected to Bugs Bunny World, so the new coaster doesn't have to be themed to it. It really could have any theme, since it's in the front of the park, where there is no theme at all.

Well, according to screamscape, Deja Vu will get some new paint to make the area look nice for Terminator. So obviously, it'll be staying for a while :D

I thought it looked really bright last Sunday when I was going up Tatsu's lift hill. Funny, I think it needed a paint job the least, Revolution is really bad, Riddler's Revenge could use one, Scream! & Goliath need one badly. Weird that SFMM gets to keep their Deja Vu, it is probably to keep a foot in the door for the coaster count war with Cedar Point.

^No they're keeping Deja Vu because it's so smooth and so much fun. VEKOMA MAKES THE BEST COASTERS! Hands down

That whole post was 100% sarcasm ^_^

^Actualy Deja Vu is a ton of fun. Sitting in the front row as the chain pulls you backwards up that first verticle spike with nothing between you and the concrete except for a restraint and 100 feet or so of air is one of the most thriling moments on any coaster I've ridden.

^^ Clearly hasn't ridden a gaint invert boomerang.

^ I agree with you 99%, the 1% is that I think the very last row on the out side seats is the best. Giant Invert Boom and Invert Boom are my fav Vekoma products, sadly SFMM thinks I'm 1/2 inch too tall to ride deja vu (76' maximum), but silverwood says I have a friend Aftershock (80' maximum) There was a point when deja vu was my fav coaster of all, the lift hill is frightening and the ride itself is way more extreme than any other boomerang model ever.

^I"ve seen guys at least 6'6" manage to get on DV at SFoG and the rule is the same. Just slouch a bit. Oh and the reason I like the front row better is the unimpeded view and the longer reverse drop.

The last time I rode DV (October 07) my buddy and I were in the front row, and after I was already seated a ride attendant asked me how tall I was, I lied and said I was 6'3. usually there is ride attendant at the station platform that tells you what row # to go to and there is a support next to him/her with yellow paint on it that they use to measure questionable people. That last time I rode there wasn't someone there. Front seat is my second favorite seat, escpecially for the reverse drop.

Well I was at the park Sunday and was told that next weekend the Electronic Flash Pass goes live! What parks already have this? I know of SFDK, and SFGAdv. Has anybody used this yet?

One thing I'm concerned about is that you are required to give them either your ID Card (State, Driver License, ect...) or your season pass! Well doesn't that screw things up for the rest of your day?

I have the Xtreme Play Pass, so I need that with me so I can get my discounts when I purchase food, souvenirs, ect... inside the park.

Also you need your season pass with you when you are using coupons from your value book!

For those who don't have a season pass, you need your ID when using your credit/debit cards at the park when making purchases.

Also, what if you want to leave the park for a bit. You need your driver's license! Can you return the Q-bot for a while without having to pay for it again when you return?

I don't get why all parks don't just do it like Disney. Disney fastpasses are completely free. They are limited but free with admission.

^Some think you do end up paying for it because the entry cost to Disney parks is incredible.

But I don't think this is much of a bargain at all @ SFDK

Posted Image

I'm sure Gold Pass is added Tony Hawk and Medusa! for my g/f and I to have that we have to pay $101.00. That is a total rip off! SFMM will be simular, I know our Gold pass will add X2 and Terminator.

I don't see a point to having Q-Bots or even any type of pass at SFDK since a line usually NEVER gets above 30 minutes.
