About people who misquote coaster stats: why does this bother people so much? It's not my problem if someone makes him/herself look like an idiot by being misinformed. I have much more important things to get angry about.

I wouldn't call this stuff annoying more than it is entertaining to hear take place. It's really hilareous when you see the expression on their faces when you tell them what's fact.

Well, typos happen occasionally, but not five or six times in three sentences.

I've heard people who could swear Expedition Everest and S:ROS have loops, Hulk goes well over 100 mph and the Polar Coaster is the scariest coaster on the planet.

One more thought, why would anyone in the random general public know the same stats and facts as a coaster enthusiast or even a somewhat occasional park visitor??

So they say dumb things, get used to it; people say dumb things all the time every day--wars have started over saying dumb things. So I gotta agree with Vater, they're much more important areas of life to save your annoyance for, or to get mad at.

I kinda like correcting idiots in the queue line (respectfully, of course ), and feel like I've done my good deed for the day by educating the ignorant--ahhhh.

Oh, and since "your" is a proper word, I didn't include that one in the four major spelling errors; that one falls under a "proper grammer" mistake more I would say--but whos keeping track?

Hey, we all make typos, but how many don't bother to re-read their post before sending it? I always do, and most always catch some stupid spelling or other mistake I've made. The rules of the site are clear on this, one just needs to take the right amount of time and give a decent effort.

I understand that you shouldn't expect the GP to know the stats and history of a ride, but what bothers me is that WHERE DO THESE PEOPLE COME UP WITH THIS CRAP!?!? Do they get it from someone else, do just think they know everything, or are they just really stupid. It annoys us when people say, "Cedar Point is the only park in the world that has coasters that go upside-down" or "Once on Talon, the train fell off and it crashed into another coaster so they had to get rid of the other coaster" is that it is so stupid that people believe this crap from friends!

One comment about Flight of Fear at KI one time: "It has a 200 mph launch and then it goes upside down in about 14 loops, but it goes so fast that you go about 2 loops in a second." Try to count next time.

When Cedar Fair was going to own several parks, several friends/people thought KI was going to be owned by Cedar Point and then they will tear down Son of Beast and build another Millennium Force there.

Also, someone claimed that Firehawk had come from an amusement park called Cedar Fair which was somewhere by Dayton (which is practically 45 minutes away from Kings Island-Check a map) and that it was originally an inverted coaster but they changed the trains to flyers.

By the way, if you want to hear stupid comments about practically any ride anywhere on Earth, listen to the guests at Disney World. One time, I was witing in line for the Backlot Trams at MGM Studios and a worrisome mom was looking at the movie ads that were played on the queue screens, praying that this won't be another roller coaster.

I have learned just to tune these people out. There are loads of somewhat ignorant tourists at the Florida parks, so I just don't listen to them. It's a handy little technique.
