Elveden Forest will be bringing a new slide to the park.
England's Elveden Forest is about to be on the forefront of water slide innovation with their next installation. The park will be taking two highly popular slide models, the ProSlide Tornado and the ProSlide BehemothBOWL, and combining them into one attraction. These two models can be found across the world in several parks, but Elveden Forest will be the first to combine them.
Riders will board the clover-shaped rafts that hold up to four passengers to begin their journey down the slide. They will first enter the BehemothBOWL section of the slide. Here they will spin around the perimeter of the bowl until they lose enough speed and make their way towards the next tunnel. Next up is the Tornado section as they drop down and begin their way back and forth up the Tornado's walls similar to the way a snowboarder rides the half pipe.
During the slide riders will reach a top speed of around 24 miles per hour after plummeting down a drop that hits 45 degrees. The slide will be around 200 meters (656 feet) in total length.
In a statement posted on their website, Elveden Forest's owners Center Parcs said, "Center Parcs is committed to bringing its guests the very best in innovation and ensuring our jewel in the crown the Subtropical Swimming Paradise is at the heart of our latest investment and development plans."
The park will also be receiving a new warm water family pool titled The Lagoon. The slide is expected to make its debut to the public in late November.
