Charlotte, NC - Plans were unveiled today for a new children's area named Nickelodeon Central to be built at Paramount's Carowinds for the 2003 season which will include several rides based around Nickelodeon shows and characters.

Rugrats Runaway Reptar, an inverted, twisting 50-foot tall family coaster, will take center stage in the new area, with a 3-story tall Reptar standing over the entrance to the coaster. Also a prime attraction, the Wild Thornberrys River Adventure will take riders through the jungle on a flume ride adventure.

The new section will be most similar to Ohio-based Paramount's Kings Island's own Nickelodeon Central which opened in 2001, also featuring River Adventure and Runaway Reptar rides
