Intamin Rocket Coaster action will be blasting off in Norway next April when TusenFryd's Speed Monster takes off at 56 miles per hour.

The park has announced what will likely become the 10th hydraulically-launched steel coaster from Intamin, and the second to feature inversions.

After the launch, Speed Monster will send riders into a unique layout starting off with a hill and 180-degree dive into an immelman inversion. From there, riders will experience two banked curves, two more hills, and a double corkscrew inversion before the 2,264-foot ride concludes.

TusenFryd, best known for 2003's SuperSplash Mack water coaster and 2001's Vekoma wooden Thundercoaster, will introduce the new ride as the park's sixth coaster.

Speed Monster will launch on April 23rd after an expense of 7.5 million Euros to create the ride.
