Council approves 2007 Dollywood ride plans
Official announcement for new coaster expected in June

Continuing with the current trend at Dollywood of adding a new thrill ride almost yearly, the Pigeon Forge planning commission has approved plans for the park's 2007 attraction.
On Tuesday, the Pigeon Forge Planning Commision returned a unanimous vote giving the park permission to forge ahead with their preliminary work for Dollywood's new 2007

Artwork of Dollywood's 2007 attraction shows off the ride's theme concept. The ride is said to be part of the park's largest expansion yet.attraction and what is said to be the largest expansion in the history of Dollywood. Apparently this expansion will exceed the park's 2004 Thunderhead Gap addition in size.
The park is releasing very few details on the new ride. The only details that have been made public at this point are that the ride will be carry passengers 121-feet above the ground and then send them plummeting vertically over a simulated broken trustle.
Dollywood spokesperson, Pete Owens, would not reveal any more details on the ride. An official announcement is expected to be made in July since the ride is a 2007 attraction.
This season, the park will unveil Timber Tower, the centerpiece thrill ride in a $6.5 million expansion.
