New page slithers into the Ride Gallery along with new photos

April 2, 2006 - CoasterJosh

The Ride Gallery updates have been slow recently, but it is now my pleasure to bring you a fairly large update including one rewritten, expanded page and numerous new photos.

COASTERnet is proud to introduce a newly expanded page written by TJ Andrews for a New Jersey thrill ride. The snakey structure of Medusa slithered into Six Flags Great Adventure at the beginning of the 1999 season and immediately changed the world of coasters. The creative geniouses at Bolliger and Mabillard who were responsible for creating the inverted roller coaster a few years earlier, once again stunned the world with a new concept. The cars of Medusa ran above the track with no floor beneath the rider's feet. Medusa still remains one of the worlds best floorless rollercoasters.

Besides a new page, the Ride Gallery also is home to a slew of new photographs. Donald Flint has provided us with twenty high quality shots of Holiday World's Voyage. The photos were taken during a construction tours, which gives viewers some never before seen shots. Also Dollywood has provided us with some new construction shots for Timber Tower.

Enjoy the update!

Take me there!
